Hi, I’m Lorna, the founder of Rainbow Pottery Painting.
My journey into the world of pottery painting was surprising to my family and friends. I am not an artist – in fact I was banned from O level Art at school! And the first time I tried pottery painting was sitting on a course learning to run your own pottery painting business.
But from that moment I was hooked.
I fell in love with pottery painting, not because I had suddenly learnt to become an artist, but because it sparked creativity, experimenting and connection. For the first time ever I was proud of what I produced.
At Rainbow Pottery Painting we are not here to teach art – we are here to ignite that spark of creativity, experimenting and connection for everyone.
That’s why our kits include stencils, for people like me, who might feel a bit fearful at first so the stencils can be a reassuring first step. But more often than not, confidence grows, even on that first piece, and people enjoy experimenting.
One of the most rewarding aspects of pottery painting is its ability to connect people. Time and again, I’ve witnessed barriers fall, conversations fall and ideas flourish as hands get busy with painting. It’s so much more than just painting; it’s about creating connections, sharing stories and creating memories.
And my mission is to share the joy of pottery painting with as many people as possible.
